Gangster Assessed Life Sentence for
Shooting Rival Gang Member*

San Antonio, Texas: December 14, 2012;   District Attorney Susan D. Reed announced today that Charles Williams, a.k.a. Gatt Daddy, age 43, was sentenced to life in prison for the April 28, 2011, shooting of a rival gang member at a gas station located on the northwest corner of IH 10 East and W.W. White Road.  On November 2, 2012, a jury found Williams guilty of the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  The punishment hearing was held today in the 186th District Court in front of the Honorable Maria Teresa Herr.   

During the hearing, the State presented evidence that Williams is a habitual offender, having been sent to prison for three separate cases of aggravated assault and an aggravated robbery, all of which involved a deadly weapon. 

Williams will not be eligible for parole until 2042.
