Debra Nicholas is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. In this role, she is responsible for the administrative functions in the Sheriff’s Office including the Human Resources Division as well as handling special management projects. She reports directly to Sheriff Pamerleau.
Prior to her appointment by Sheriff Pamerleau, Nicholas worked in the public and private sector for 27 years including 12 years in higher education. She also served as Chief of Staff for the San Antonio Water System.
A 20-year resident of San Antonio, Nicholas calls the Alamo city home. She is an active community volunteer having served in leadership positions on both City and County committees. Nicholas served on the development team of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce in the creation of the Chamber’s successful Leadership Lab.
Nicholas is a distinguished graduate of Webster University earning a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Development. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.
