Wheatley Heights Complex - $7.5 Million Pct. 4

County Judge Nelson Wolff, Mayor Julian Castro, Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, State Rep. Ruth Jones McClendon and dignitaries from the Eastside Christian Action Group will officially break ground on the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex. The complex is a project of the Bexar County Community Venues Program, which is funded with revenue from the County's Visitor Tax - a mix of hotel occupancy and motor vehicle taxes. The Eastside Christian Action Group will develop and manage the regional multi-use facility on approximately 66 acres of land in Central East Bexar County, an area that was devastated by the flood of 1998.
