Over forty agencies have joined together to plan events for National Crime Victims’ Rights week which will be celebrated from April 6 – 12, 2014. This year's theme, "30 Years: Restoring the Balance of Justice” reminds us that it is not the time to rest on three decades of progress – even though much as been accomplished it is a reminder of the work still before us to restore the balance of justice to all those harmed by crime.
A calendar of events for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week has been attached to this email. Events include a Butterfly Release; Victims’ Tribute and Wreath Laying Ceremony; a Picnic for Children, and many other meaningful events. Please check the attached events calendar for specific dates and times.
Help us instill values within our community where rights and services for victims and survivors of crime are not just observed annually, but practiced daily.
For questions or more information on these events or other victim issues, please contact Ms. Cyndi Jahn, Bexar County District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Coordinator at (210) 335-2733.
